If you could only study one hadith collection, this would be it.
Imam Al-Nawawi’s 40 Hadith isn’t just a list of prophetic sayings. It’s the backbone of Islamic practice, a collection so carefully chosen that scholars across centuries have called it the foundation of the entire religion.
Each hadith carries a weight that goes far beyond memorisation. This course takes those 40 narrations and breaks them down for clarity and practical implementation, so the words don’t just sit in your head. They change how you live.
What Are the 40 Hadith of Imam Nawawi?
The 40 Hadith of Imam Nawawi is a collection of narrations compiled by the 13th-century Islamic scholar Yahya ibn Sharaf Al-Nawawi. Each hadith was hand-picked for its significance, covering the core principles of the religion: intentions, faith, actions and excellence in worship.
Al-Nawawi wasn’t just a scholar. He was one of the most respected authorities in Islamic jurisprudence, and this collection is widely regarded as his most enduring contribution to the Muslim world.
The 40 narrations aren’t random. They map out the full picture of what it means to be Muslim, from the intention behind every act, to the depth of faith in your heart, to how that faith shows up in your daily actions and your relationship with Allah.
